Getting Your Course Ready for Spring!
|
Here are the things you can check to make sure your new course, or previously created and imported course is ready for the new semester. The TLC will be happy to help you or to point you in the right direction with any questions you have.1. Verify your Syllabus is updated and ready to go!2. Double-check your Canvas assignments have the dates updated. All assignments should have "Available from", "Available Until", and "Due" dates to work properly. Leaving a date off can create confusion for your students and for Canvas itself. 3. Make sure you're using your Canvas courses to help keep attendance with the Attendance Module. 4. Determine your grading scheme and have it all figured out and ready to go! Weighted? Unweighted? Extra Credit? 5. Check the "Course Link Validator" in your courses. The internet is constantly changing all around us, and we want to make sure students see what you intend them to. If you follow these 5 simple steps, your course is bound to function smoothly for this next semester. Let us know what we (the TLC) can do to help! |
